Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect at my first visit?

To help keep your teeth, gums and bones healthy and beautiful, we will begin with a new patient comprehensive exam, including an oral cancer screening, periodontal evaluation, necessary X-rays, and consultation based on Dr. Cook’s findings. You will receive a treatment plan and estimate, a discussion about the reasons treatment is indicated & the risks & benefits of your individual treatment plan. We believe in high levels of patient education to ensure you can make personal, informed decisions about your dental health.

Good oral health requires more than just daily brushing and regular dental check-ups because it’s only one part of your overall physical and mental well being. Our professional staff understands that diet, medications, pregnancy, chemotherapy and physical illness can affect your oral health. We are committed to working with you and your physician so that you may always put your best smile forward.

Is my payment due at the time of service?

Yes, in order to keep our fees down we appreciate your payment at the time of your appointment. However, if you have insurance, most insurance companies allow full coverage for your preventative (cleanings, exam and x-rays) visit. We will be more than happy to check into your insurance coverage before your first visit and let you know what we expect your insurance to pay.

What payment options do you offer to pay for my dental care?

For your convenience we accept Checks, Cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and Care Credit. Care Credit is a finance company set aside just for your medical, dental and your pet’s veterinary needs. Upon approval with Care Credit, your payments can be as low as $40 per month. You can apply for this card at www.carecredit.com

Do you accept dental insurance?

For your convenience we accept most dental insurance including Delta Dental, Cigna, MetLife, UC Davis and G-Ship insurance. However, insurance companies all have limitations such as what is covered, deductibles, and maximums. It is necessary for you to understand your dental coverage because your contract is with your insurance company and not our dental office. Our office will be more than happy to provide you with an estimate based on the information your insurance company has provided to us. We encourage you to ask questions if ever you should have any questions regarding your treatment or dental coverage at any time.
